PPI European Symposium
PPI European Symposium, Amsterdam
Amsterdam

There is a gap in the current approach to project delivery. McKinsey & Company reports that 98% of today’s major projects face schedule delays or cost overruns. Research also shows that productivity in the construction industry has stagnated over the last half century, whereas manufacturing productivity has increased 150% over the same period. If history is a guide, the industry is set to waste $700 billion over the next seven years.

These repeated and measurable failures in the existing approach to project delivery must be addressed. In today’s increasingly complex, dynamic and volatile project environment, where are leaders in corporate enterprises willing to find the next step change in project delivery performance?

Past PPI Symposia in San Francisco have included participation from companies such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, Facebook, Google, Hess, Merck, Microsoft, Roche, Saudi Aramco and Shell to address this gap in project delivery. The European Symposium will bring together a broad cross-section of comparable leading companies in industry sectors such as oil and gas, life sciences, transportation infrastructure, telecommunications. McKinsey & Company, our official knowledge partner, will present its research and perspectives on the opportunity of PPM and how to successfully adopt PPM practices.

Attendees will:

  • Understand Project Production Management fundamentals and associated value
  • Explore how companies deploy PPM including the adoption journey
  • Connect with leaders in academia and industry researching the frontiers of PPM and assisting companies to implement PPM in their capital projects
