Michael Batie is currently Director of Project Management at Genentech’s Vacaville biopharmaceutical production site, one of the world’s largest bulk monoclonal antibody production plants.
He leads the project delivery team executing commercial technology transfers, capital investments and life cycle projects.
Prior to joining Genentech, he was a project director at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on the Integrative Genomics Building project. Michael’s previous experience includes 15 years at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, with increasing levels of responsibility from senior project manager to Director of Plant Engineering, a pharmaceutical production plant debottlenecking project in Turku, Finland and over 10 years as a construction manager for various firms.
Michael is PMP and LEED certified, holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University, and is currently an MBA candidate at National University.
