Jim Richardson is Interim Head of Capital Projects at Heirloom Carbon, a direct air capture (DAC) company based in Brisbane, CA.
Heirloom operates the first US DAC facility in Tracy, CA and has plans for additional 20 KT / yr and 300 KT / yr facilities in Shreveport, LA along with preliminary discussions for potential future plants in Texas, Oklahoma, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East. Richardson formerly spent 23 years in drilling, capital projects, operations, and executive support roles at Chevron before spending 7 years leading oil and gas and global partnering with Strategic Project Solutions (SPS). SPS is a San Francisco based global leader in Project Production Management and founding member of PPI. Richardson has a B.Eng. in Mining and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and is a lifetime member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
