Johnson Awoyomi is the Group General Manager of the Engineering and Technology Division for the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He brings extensive experience in reforming and institutionalizing transparency, accountability and efficiency in the oil and gas sector.

His past experience includes his most recent role as Senior Technical Assistant (STA) to Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum, Nigeria – Transparency and Efficiency. Prior to that, he was the Group General Manager/STA to the GMD of the NNPC, and has also held various roles within NETCO, the Nigerian Content Division, Transformation Office and Cost Engineering Division.

Awoyomi is a Project Management Professional, a COREN registered engineer and belongs to many professional associations such as the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Fellow Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International and others. He is the current President of the AACE International Nigeria Section, where he is making giant strides in uplifting Cost Engineering practices in Nigeria. He is both a Certified Cost Professional and a Certified Estimating Professional – Estimator (by AACE International).

Awoyomi holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Ife in Nigeria.
