Matt Parsons

Matt Parsons is a Managing Director in Accenture’s Houston Office where he serves as the NA Utility Strategy Lead. Over the course of his consulting career, he has supported multiple cross-functional transformations and improvement programs, particularly in the areas of integrated operations transformations and capital transformations in the Energy Industry. Before joining Accenture, Matt spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company and BCG.

Prior to his consulting career, Parsons served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, where he held various responsibilities related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear power plants.

Matt earned a B.S. in Control Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1996 and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2002, where he was designated a Palmer Scholar and Siebel Scholar. He is also a PhD candidate in Construction Management at Arizona State University.
