Zahra is a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, where she also earned her Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (MS).
Her PhD research focuses on advancing the use of computer vision and machine learning techniques to detect and classify construction activities directly from video footage to automatically extract production data. By automating the extraction of production data, her work enables the development of real-time production system modeling as well as project production control, empowering construction teams to make data-driven decisions in real time that improve project performance on construction sites.
