The Institute has established a number of steering committees to guide its agenda.

The Technical Committee consists of academics and industry experts respected in the technical disciplines that comprise the Project Production Management body of knowledge. It provides input into the research agenda, guidance on technical issues and domain expertise related to Project Production Management. As research expands the Project Production Management body of knowledge, the Institute looks to the Technical Committee as the authority to validate the content.

The Advisory Board comprises business leaders and industry experts across different sectors that can benefit from the adoption of Project Production Management. The Board seeks to lead the transformation of different industries by guiding the Institute in promoting the awareness, dissemination of knowledge and ultimately the profitable adoption of Project Production Management. It provides guidance on business issues, identifies possible research trends for the Institute to pursue and assists in the dissemination of information about PPI and Production Management. It also provides introductions to firms and senior executives in order to identify specific opportunities to implement Project Production Management.

The Executive Director and Director of Operations run daily operations of the Institute. The Technical Director chairs the Technical Committee, oversees the research activities and edits the Journal.
