The Project Production Institute (PPI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Strunk Miller to the Industry Council. She brings 15 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry. Currently, Miller is the Director of Strategy and Planning for Worldwide Semiconductor Operations at Applied Materials. In her role, she leads annual strategic planning and performance management execution of all functions within the organization including volume manufacturing, global supply chain, new product introduction, manufacturing quality and supplier engineering, facilities and safety.
Prior to joining Applied Materials, Miller held positions as semiconductor capital equipment industry analyst for UBS Securities and Montgomery Asset Management. Earlier in her career, she developed control algorithms for industrial robots as a researcher at Hitachi’s Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratory in Japan and designed test fixtures for the Galileo Spacecraft at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in Japanese Studies from Harvard University.
