PPI is pleased to announce that the article “Lean Methods in Nuclear Power” – which was originally written and presented at the 2023 PPI Annual Technical Conference – was featured as the cover story for Nuclear Engineering International Magazine.
The article, written by Tony Roulstone, a nuclear energy lecturer at University of Cambridge Dept. of Engineering, Simon Murray, founding member of Acumen7, and Gary Fischer, Executive Director at PPI, addresses the key ways to make nuclear power affordable by: taking a program approach, adopting modern production methods that are commonplace elsewhere but not applied in the nuclear industry and by creating production systems that profit from series build as against one-off projects and drive efficiency throughout the supply chain.
